The Children of
Josiah Hunnicutt and Elizabeth Bankston

Permelia Ann Hunnicutt - born March 22, 1845 in Mississippi. She married Thomas Smith and had several children. She died November 29, 1917 and is buried at Woolverton Mountain Cemetery, Conway County, Arkansas.

Elizabeth Hunnicutt - born 1847 in Mississippi; was in the 1850 census but had died in Georgia within the next ten years.

Charity Jane Hunnicutt - born 1849 in Mississipp; married Jeremiah Halbrooks in 1866 at Conway COunty, Arkansas and had disappeared by 1870. The 1870 Van Buren County, Arkansas census showed Jeremiah with a 2 year old girl, Nancy; this is probably Charity's child. Most likely Charity's death is connected with Nancy. Nancy herself is not found in the census again; however, she may have been adopted.

David H. Honeycutt - born May 1852 in Georgia had rather bad luck. He married Caroline Neal, she died before 1880. His second wife, nancy Poland had died by 1900. David himself died between 1900 and 1910 in Conway COunty and is buried in an unmarked grave. It doesn't appear that he left any descendants.

Margaret Hunnicutt - born June 1856 in Georgia and married Thomas Neal, (who died) then Joseph James Etheridge. She had a total of five children and lived in Southern Arkansas. She was seen as a widow in McCurtain County, Oklahoma in 1920 but is not seen in 1930 anywhere. It is apparent she died in McCurtain County.

George Calvin Honeycutt - born January 12, 1860 near Rock Spring, Walker County, Georgia; married Tennessee McCoy (who died) and then Martha Ann Brinkley. He moved to Oklahoma, died in 1930 and left many descendants. He is buried in Haskell County, Oklahoma.

John Edward Honeycutt - born November 15, 1862 in Conway COunty, Arkansas; he married Margaret McCoy, had three children and died March 23, 1923. He is buried at Halbrook cemetery in Van Buren County, Arkansas; he left many descendants.
