Henry Arthur Sandlin & Sarah Angeline Davis


Quincy Quinnon (Quinton) was born on June 26, 1904 in Arkansas.  He married Sarah Hunt; they had three daughters.  Quinton had a job as a brick and stone mason and also took care of people's yards.  Sarah passed away August 29, 1974 and Quinton died at Moore, Oklahoma on July 4, 1983 at age 79.  Some examples of his brickwork may still be seen around Oklahoma City.
Arthur Irvin was born May 26, 1906 in Arkansas.  His first wife was Willie White, he later married Eula Mae Mitchell.  He worked with highway construction crews; he was also in the U.S. Army in the infantry, based in Little Rock, Arkansas.  He was given a medical discharge, due to being accidentally gassed.  He was badly beaten and passed away in Oklahoma City February 22, 1968.  He is buried at the national Cemetery in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma; he left no descendants.
William Benton was born June 14, 1908 in Arkansas.  He had one daughter by his first wife Willie.  He was also married to Ollie and Lula Hulsey.  Bill was a carpenter, and a brick laborer, helping his brother Quinton.  He was a cabinet maker and built beautiful tiered shelves with designs on them.  Bill served time in prison for a crime he did not commit.  He passed away on November 1, 1963 of an apparent heart attack when he went to cut wood.  He is buried at Moore, Oklahoma.
Raymon Tillman was born November 30, 1910 at Hartford, Arkansas.  He was married to Miss Laughlin, and then Allie Higgs.  He and Allie had four daughters and one son.  He was a mechanic at a service station; he also served in the Army in the infantry.  He was stationed in Germany and also fought in Africa under General Patton.  On May 8, 1952 he drowned after falling into the water from a boat in Mississippi.  He is buried in the Shelby Cemetery in Shelby, Bolivar County, Mississippi.
Lettie Mae was born July 15, 1913 in Hartford, Arkansas and was married to Kirby Honeycutt.  She passed away May 12, 1998 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. See Lettie's page for more information about her.
Horace Davis was born September 8, 1916 at Hartford, Arkansas.  He married Syble Brooks in 1937.  Horace was a WW II veteran in the Army.  He was a shipbuilder and welder; he also invented the extended cab for trucks.  Horace and Syble had one son.  Syble passed away in 1992 and was buried in the National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Arkansas.  Horace died December 8, 2004 and is buried beside Syble.
John Silas was born December 29, 1919 in Hartford, Arkansas.  He married Jean Williams in Holdenville, Oklahoma on September 2, 1940.  They had three children after they moved to Bakersfield, California where he worked on a large ranch.  John was in the Army, stationed in Europe during WW II in the infantry.  He moved troops and built bridges.  Jean passed away in California in 1995 and John died March 8, 2000 at age 88.
Edwin McDonald was born October 15, 1923 near Stigler, Oklahoma.  He and Alice Henderson married July 3, 1951 in Reno, Nevada.  They had four sons.  Ed drove log trucks in Arkansas and also worked on ranches in California.  He passed away June 27, 2003 in Chowchilla, California.
